The necessity of creating successful models in artificial intelligence
The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, emphasizing the identification and propagation of successful models in the field of artificial intelligence, warned against the danger of spreading pseudoscience and premature news in this field.

According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, Vice President of Science and Technology, during his speech at the inauguration ceremony of the Smart Power Plant Status Monitoring Center at the Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant in Mashhad, declared the center an important step for the optimal exploitation and maximum use of the country's energy advantages, adding: Natural advantages and energy are considered the country's most important strengths, but sometimes they become major challenges that can be overcome to create opportunities and added value.
The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy said: Our scientific progress has kept pace with the world in some sectors and a pioneer in artificial intelligence has taken place.
"Neobank", on the path to developing artificial intelligence
Afshin warned about the danger of news taking precedence over content and the spread of pseudoscience in the field of artificial intelligence in the country and emphasized the need to create successful models. He also spoke about the efforts of the Vice Presidency of Science to create the necessary infrastructure for the development of artificial intelligence in the country, and in this regard, announced the issuance of a license for "Neobank" as an important step in this direction.
He emphasized: "In the Vice Presidency of Science, we are looking for successful examples in the field of artificial intelligence. These efforts are focused on identifying successful models and developing the necessary infrastructure to expand artificial intelligence in the country. The ultimate goal is to replicate these successful examples and develop the use of artificial intelligence technology in the country."
The Vice President of Science explained the benefits of using an intelligent condition monitoring system in power plants and noted that this center can help power plant managers identify upcoming issues and prevent bad events by taking quick action. Using this system, millions of dollars in costs can be avoided and the life of the system can be extended. This system receives data online and notifies power plant managers so that, if there is an error, they can fix it at a low cost.
Referring to the more than 20-year history of monitoring systems in the country, he announced the holding of a conference in this field next week and added: "The new intelligent system, by collecting 50,000 data per second, provides the ability to train algorithms and identify hidden defects, which leads to increased productivity. The main way to increase productivity is to use technology. This system, which has been installed in small gas power plants, is also used in the energy field, and it remains to be seen when it will be implemented throughout the country."
Afshin emphasized the importance of "courage" in implementing this plan, explaining that installing sensors and launching new monitoring systems requires managers to accept risk and courage, because these systems may reveal previously hidden flaws, which can lead to obvious losses.
